British qualifier Sonay Kartal clinched her first career title on the Hologic WTA Tour at the Jasmin Open in Monastir, Tunisia!
In a clash between first-time WTA singles finalists, the World No.151 defeated Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova 6-3, 7-5 to capture the WTA 250 crown.
She had gotten past Jaqueline Cristian, Mai Hontama and Yulia Starodubtseva before Eva Lys retired in their semifinal meeting.
